Power Automate – Trigger Output as Identifier Columns

You might have noticed already this. If you don’t notice you can set your trigger output value as a column in the Power Automate Flow runs view.

This will help to quickly see the Flow action output while debugging without navigating to the Flow history details page. This will Save at least some time for Citizen-developers and Pro-developers while debugging. Without enabling this feature to see the output of a particular Flow action output, should follow the below steps;

  • Go to the Flow page
  • Navigate to the Flow run view
  • Click on the Flow run history which you want to debug/see the run history details
  • This will navigate to the Flow run detail history page where you can see all the Flow actions
  • Click on the particular action in which you want to see the output

With this improvement Flow action output just can be seen quickly by enabling the needed columns in the Flow history page itself

How to Configure/Enable the feature

It is very simple. Just follow the below steps.

  • Go to the Flow summary page
  • Click on the “Edit Columns” link which is available in the “Flow History” section
  • Check the needed “trigger output values” which you want to see
  • Click “Save”
  • You will see the added columns with the trigger output now

Hopefully, this helps !!!

The same can be read from here as well
